Leigh Morris is the past chair of the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and currently a member of the Board of Directors.
Leigh received her BSc from Ball State University and her MSc in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. His career included the position of General Manager of La Porte Hospital from 1978 to 1999.
Leigh’s many other accomplishments include being mayor of La Porte, deputy commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation and interim chair of the Legacy Foundation, the South Shore Leadership Center, and the VNA of Northwest Indiana. He is also the past president of the Rotary Club of La Porte and is a member of the Paul Harris Society of Rotary International. He was an assistant faculty member at the University of Valparaiso for many years, teaching postgraduate courses in healthcare.
Leigh and his wife, Marcia, have long supported the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra and have both chaired its board of directors.
