Atlantic City Ballet announces 39th season
(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) – After 18 months of closure and only being able to perform virtually, the Atlantic City Ballet is back with in-person performances and celebrating its 39th season. Their main season will take place at the Circus Maximus Theater at the Caesars Hotel and Casino. The season begins October 29 with Dracula and continues until December with the holiday favorite, Nutcracker .
After a short hiatus, the business begins its spring season in March and continues through May. Along the way, the company will visit various theaters across the state, including The Strand in Lakewood and STAC in Manahawkin and the PAC at Stockton University.
“We are delighted to be back on stage in person,” said Phyllis Papa, artistic director. “It was hard not to know, so we’re happy the state is finding ways to safely reopen so people can enjoy the arts again.”

Founded in 1982 by international ballerina Phyllis Papa, the Atlantic City Ballet is made up of professional dancers from around the world and has gained national renown for its technical expertise and exuberant stage presence. Although their original base is in the Historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, the Ballet has performed in theaters throughout the East Coast and across the country.

Atlantic City Ballet’s repertoire of original works includes classics such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake but Ms. Papa is best known for her innovative works such as Dracula, Caught Up In The Swing, and her entirety Carmen. Since its inception, the Atlantic City Ballet has been one of New Jersey’s cultural treasures and continues a tradition of excellence in dance for future generations of ballet audiences.
