Wyoming Opera returns live to Casper on Saturday with mermaids and wizards

CASPER, Wyo – Wyoming Opera will present Saturday Evenings – “One Hour of Vaudeville” on Saturday, May 22 at 7.15am at the Lyric downtown.
âIt’s not just opera, it’s dance, magic and musical theater,â said Cathy Becker, media and marketing specialist for Opera Wyoming. She said the semi-regular parties were a chance for performers to return to audiences as restrictions on COVID-19 eased.

According to teases on social media, Saturday’s event will include a mermaid-themed performance by Fathom Swanson, as well as a performance by Candice Cochran, a staple of Casper’s community theater.
Andrea Sipe and Emily Quintana will play a duet, and singer Matt Stairs will also perform.
Wizard of Wyoming Byron gray will be the master of ceremonies.
The event will be broadcast live on the Facebook and Youtube channel, thanks to the support of patrons and the Wyoming Arts Council.
