WILLIAMSBURG — Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer recently leased a building from the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra to move its offices to 4805 Courthouse St. in Williamsburg.

“We’ve been at this location for about 11 years – and of course we’ve loved being close to Colonial Williamsburg and all the action here – but the space no longer meets our needs, we just need a little more space .” Carolyn Keurajian, executive director of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra, explained in an interview.

“We have a new music director, Michael Butterman, who has just joined our team, as well as additional staff, so we just need a little more space,” she continued. “It’s an office for various committee meetings, board meetings, receptions and that sort of thing. But we will have plenty of space to expand and potentially have our music library there as well.

The Symphony Orchestra’s move to the Newtown Shops coincides with its 20th anniversary celebration, and it looks forward to supporting the Newtown community.

In addition to the new office, the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra has an exciting new event planned for 2022.

“We’re doing a new concert this year called Cirque de la Symphonie, which is similar to a Cirque performance with acrobats and various things, but with a full symphony orchestra,” Keurajian said. “We’re really excited to be back to a full concert season, but we’re also doing a lot of educational programs.”
