The Teatro alla Scala will celebrate Bruna Baglioni’s career on September 18, 2021.

Baglioni made his famous stage debut in 1973 in a production of “Boris Godunov”, before appearing a year later in “The Favorite”. She would become a frequent performer at La Scala, assuming roles such as Adalgisa in “Norma”, Santuzza in “Cavalleria Rusticana”, Burya in “Jenufa”, Ulrica in “Un Ballo in Maschera” and Federica in “Luisa Miller”. “

“I remember the unforgettable nights spent on this legendary stage, and even today, walking through these doors, I feel very excited and touched. I realize, that I was part of a golden age in the history of our melodrama, and I am proud to have been able to leave my mark in the glorious history of La Scala, this must be a example for all the young people who approach this art and this difficult profession, which I try to encourage with my teaching work today. I hope to meet again on this occasion the public who have given me so much affection, and to be able to celebrate with them in the name of the music of our great composers, ”Baglioni said in a statement.

In addition to its performances in Milan, the mezzo has appeared on the world’s most famous opera stages, including the Arena di Verona, Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Hamburg Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and the Metropolitan Opera, among many others.

The event will be organized in tandem with “L’Opera – International Magazine” and is organized by Giancarlo Landini and Sabino Lenoci. The public will also be able to broadcast the event for free via the official site of the Opera.
