Talented young dancer from Milton Keynes wins role with English National Ballet

A young dancer from Bletchley has been selected to dance in The Nutcracker with the English National Ballet
13-year-old Caitlin Le Roux will join the cast at the London Coliseum in December and also play a lead role.
The Nutcracker is an annual performance of the English National Ballet and the company has auditioned young dancers to be part of the cast for a number of years.
Caitlin attends Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and is a full-time boarder there. She auditioned among hundreds of other applicants at the school and managed to secure a place in their dance class.
In addition to studying normal academic subjects like any other student, she spends up to 25 hours dancing six days a week.
Prior to auditioning for Tring Park, Caitlin attended Leanne Hughes Theater School in Leighton Buzzard.
The English National Ballet Company chose her to double the lead role of Clara, as well as to play a party animal and a rat.
Caitlin said: “That’s what dreams are made of – being able to dance on a London stage with a professional company. That’s all I’ve ever wanted!

The Nutcracker will be on display at the London Coliseum from December 16, 2021 to January 8, 2022.
