The ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav’ concluded by Rang Shree Little Ballet Troupe. Known for its innovation, this institution, apart from presenting classical and modern arts, also provided a platform for little rag-pickers to showcase their art forms.

After the massive flag salute, the Janotsav began with the remembrance of eminent dancer-choreographer Prabhat Ganguly, who coincidentally also celebrates his birthday on August 15.

The first performance was given by LBT artist and Kathak dancer from Raigad Gharana Monika Pandey Bohare, adapting “Vande Mataram” in the Kathak language.

After that, in the “Chaturanga” offering, the expressions of various goddesses were combined in such a way that they gave shape to the holy and all-encompassing image of Mother India.

The second presentation was a Udayshankar-style solo dance drama. Young dancer, colorist Yogendra Singh Rajput was “Yogi”. He gave an effective performance as a solo dance drama of the poem “Actor”. In this, the artist’s picture of sadhana and struggle has been shown in an interesting way.

After that, other artists including Shivkumar Kataria mesmerized everyone with the presentation of patriotic songs.

The last presentation was given by young children. Despite the awkward dance moves, her enthusiasm was incredible. The dance performance of a girl named Chandni on “Desh Mera Rangeela” was impressive.

The program was directed by Kiran Maran. Despite the heavy rain, there was a remarkable presence of artists and writers.
