Lunch at the opera with the MU jazz quartet | Local News
“I really like taking inspiration from 1940s and 1950s jazz, but we also all have a different understanding and background of jazz, so what we’re offering is something a little more modern, but also with a twist. traditional and unique. Arza said.
This is not the first time for artistic lunches. The opera house began hosting monthly lunches in January 2020.
“They were very nice and we had good crowds, but because of COVID we had to stop,” said Lee Meyer, executive director of FOH.
Meyer notes that the lunches do not require a lot of time for the participants.
“You go in and out in an hour so you can go back to work,” Meyer said.
The members of the jazz quartet hope people will attend.
“We’re thrilled that people are hearing from our group and what we’re working on,” said Arza.
Yindrick thinks it’s important to support organizations like opera because they help keep the arts alive.
“I think supporting opera is great,” said Yindrick.
Meyer thinks attendees will like the event.
“It will be a very enjoyable and relaxing lunch,” said Meyer. “They can leave their busy desks and hear this very talented group, talk to like-minded people and meet new people.”
