Go “sleep at night” at Mount Timpanogos
Head to Mount Timpanogos in the Utah Valley for Night Owling, a professionally guided snowshoe tour presented by the Great Basin Wildlife Rescue via Sundance Mountain Resort. On January 31 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., experts will use live owls to teach participants about winter wildlife and how to call and locate owls in the area. BYU Arts presents Ballet Hispánico on February 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pardoe Theater on campus. Ballet Hispánico is a national Latin dance organization that has just celebrated its 50th anniversary. Tickets are $35 for the general public and can be purchased online at bit.ly/3o0QT3M. Per university guidelines, this event requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test within the past 72 hours (required for ages 12 and older). Masks are mandatory inside the room. No babies or children under 6 will be admitted.
Dance to the music of Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo
Join Urban Lounge (241500 E., Salt Lake City) on February 5 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. for “22 and good 4 u,” a dance party featuring music from pop stars Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. Tickets are $15 in advance (available online at bit.ly/3G7GpG6) or $20 on the day. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 72 hours is required for entry. Note that this is a 21+ event.
