A traditional Chinese opera by the Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe was performed at the Shanghai Poly Grand Theater in Jiading district on July 17, marking the start of a series of charity performances at the theater after the citywide lockdown.

The operator of the Shanghai Poly Grand Theater has made comprehensive preparations, including maintaining equipment and facilities, rearranging seats, adjusting ticketing, and carrying out comprehensive and practical disinfection exercises in accordance with requirements. pandemic prevention and control.
All theater visitors must wear masks, show their health codes, scan a digital sentry and have their temperature checked.
And the number of customers is capped at half capacity.
“Having been through the lockdown, it’s exciting to see old friends in the theater again,” said Qin Tiji, president of Shanghai Poly Grand Theatre.
In collaboration with the Jiading District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the theater is to stage six charity performances, including symphonies, light music, children’s plays and comedies. Tickets range from 30 yuan (4.48 USD) to 80 yuan.
The theater will also launch its summer camp on July 30, offering children the opportunity to experience musical theatre, drama, percussion and choir under the guidance of professional teachers.
It will stage acrobatics on August 16, providing rare fun for children and their families during the summer holidays.
