Dmitry Yablonsky, one of the orchestra’s conductors, conducted a concert featuring works by Gioachino Rossini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms, alongside famous Turkish pianist Fazil Say.

The JSO also performed under the direction of British conductor Marius Stravinsky for one of their concerts, performing the orchestral piece “Well Tempered Chanson” by composer-in-residence Alexey Shor, Piano Concerto No. 3 by Sergei Prokofiev and the symphonic poem Šárka by Bedrich Smetana, in collaboration with the Belgian violinist Leonard Schreiber and the South Korean Yeol Eum Son (piano). The orchestra was also joined by Armenian conductor Sergey Smbatyan and famous British cellist Steven Isserlis, the musicians presenting a diverse program of vibrant music including works by Alexey Shor, Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven.
JSO’s last appearance at InClassica featured Italian bandoneon specialist Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi. The orchestra delivered a captivating performance that began with a tribute to the film music of composers Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota, before moving on to a program in honor of famous Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations. anniversary of his birth.
