Classic FM favorites are set to be performed by the Ramsbottom Choral Society and Concert Orchestra (RCSCO) at their next gig.

The show, which is due to take place on Thursday, November 10 at All Saints Church from 7:30 p.m., will be led by musical director, Barry Sugden, and conductor, Julie Proctor.

Music by West Side Story, Carmen Emperor Waltz, Barcarolle and Schubert will be performed next month at All Saints Church.

An RCSCO spokesperson said: “We are really excited about the upcoming concert, but we also have vacancies to fill.

“The orchestra meets every Thursday at 7.30pm at the St Francis House community center and we have 26 regular members who play but have vacancies the French horn, trumpet, bassoon oboe and all string players.”

The orchestra, created 40 years ago by conductor Barry Sugden, and the group have been working on a purely orchestral repertoire, light music and classical since the lifting of the confinement.

The spokesperson added: “The orchestra are enjoying their new rehearsal location at St Francis House near Brandlesholme Road and we look forward to expanding the ranks of the orchestra.

“We are a very friendly group and they will be very welcome, we also have tea breaks.”

The next concert of Classic FM favorites will feature Andantino singers.

Tickets are currently priced at £10 per person and are available at the door.

The list of music played includes, but is not limited to, music from West Side Story, Carmen Emperor Waltz, Barcarolle, Seal Lullaby, Lilac Time (Schubert) and Dam Busters March.
