Plant clinic
South Bay Green Gardens is hosting a virtual âPlant Clinicâ on July 10 from 10 am to noon. The clinic is open to all residents who are still waiting for their green thumb; UC Master Gardener Ann Northrup will answer questions about plant issues. Bird watching for beginners
The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority is hosting âBirding for Beginnersâ on July 10, a guided in-person experience in the North Coyote Valley Conservation Area.
The Coyote Valley region includes critical habitat for over 220 resident and migratory bird species. Guides who are also avid birdwatchers will take participants through the seasonal wetland of Laguna Seca.
Bird watchers can bring their binoculars to the event, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Eventbrite.com; directions will be provided after registration.
Dance with
The Children’s Discovery Museum in San José and the New Ballet are teaming up to introduce children to the world of classical ballet.
The museum organizes dances in its amphitheater every Saturday until August 7, led by professional dancers.
The 30-minute sessions are aimed at children 2 ½ to 8 years old and will include an introduction to ballet and dance demonstrations by the instructors, who will also dance with the children.
