Dog was “born to be an opera singer”
A border collie left social media users in awe of his incredibly harmonious singing performance.
The dog, named Nicolas, went viral on TikTok after users were wowed by his impressive voice.
Nico enjoys performing powerful interpretations as he sits high on a windowsill, hitting a range of high and low notes.
Julia Szypulska, who lives in Warsaw, Poland, uploaded the video of the opera featuring Nico with the caption “Born to be an opera singer”.
The dramatic performance was such a success that the video quickly began to rack up millions of views and admiring comments for the opera star.
Sales assistant says Nico has been singing since he was a puppy and now sings every day.
The 16 month old puppy is also blue and white compared to his black and white siblings, so he is very special.
Julia, 19, said: “He starts singing when he’s happy or when he wants our attention.”
But Nico drew more attention than expected. Its most popular video has received almost seven million views and 2.2 million likes.
Fans flooded the comments applauding the dog’s talent and begging for more.
One user said, “The pain, the drama, the tragedy,” while another said, “The more I listen to this, the better.”
Other users praised Nico for “singing an entire octave in a minor key” and suggested that he could make a living with his talent, saying “He gives this performance for free ?!”
Another said, “He wags his tail because he knows he killed him,” while another went so far as to say, “I want this dog to sing at my funeral.
Nico’s soulful tone has been compared to titles like Ave Maria, Phantom of the Opera, and the ’80s hit Careless Whisper.
