Bodrum in Turkey will host the 19th International Ballet Festival

The Turkish seaside resort of Bodrum will host an international ballet festival from August 6 to 19, the national directorate of opera and ballet has announced.
The 19th Bodrum International Ballet Festival, the first and only ballet festival in Türkiye, will attract art lovers with a rich program and enchanting performances on the stage of the northern moat of Bodrum Castle.
Along with some special works, which premiered at the National Opera and Ballet Directorate of Turkey and around the world, the festival will offer visitors eight performances.
The festival will begin with the famous flamenco show Carmen by the Spanish dance company Aida Gomez on August 6 and will continue with other important classics such as Romeo and Juliet.
On August 13, participants will have the opportunity to simultaneously attend a ballet and a modern dance performance, namely the works Gece (night) and Bach Alla Turca by the Provincial Opera and Ballet Directorate of Izmir.
Hamlet will be played on August 16.
The festival will close on August 19 with the piece Guldestan by Modern Dance Ensemble Istanbul, the young and dynamic group of Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.
