Rush mobile tickets at $ 45 will be offered, exclusively through TodayTix , for the acclaimed production of Aida , by the famous Italian director and choreographer Davide Livermore, allowing greater accessibility for the public to experience the spectacular return of Opera Australia to the stage of the State Theater in Melbourne.

For the very first time in Melbourne, Opera Australia will launch a very limited number of mobile Rush tickets on the day of the show for Aida for applicable performance. The public no longer has to queue at the box office for last-minute Rush tickets, they just log in on their mobile phones through the TodayTix app.

Using OA’s integrated digital technologies, Livermore’s interpretation of Verdi’s Egyptian world conveys the scale, depth and magnificence demanded by this monumental opera, taking the audience experience to a whole new level.

Ten towering LED screens create an immersive theatrical experience, while the ever-changing floor-to-ceiling sets showcase video design that ranges from rich symbolism to vivid landscapes. Associated with the magnificent costumes of Gianluca Falaschi, this production proves to be a feast for the senses.

To “ unlock ” Rush mobile tickets, TodayTix users are simply asked to spread the word on their social media account. Once unlocked, the $ 45 prize will be available exclusively through the TodayTix app on a first come, first served basis, starting at 9:00 a.m. on each applicable performance day. There is a strictly limited number of tickets available per performance and a maximum purchase of two tickets per person. A reservation fee of $ 5 per ticket at checkout is included in the advertised price of $ 45.
